    Stuck on WINS BOOT MSNAGER

    Hi
    I have hp dv7,
    Wins 7(only)
    Samsung 840 SSD
Recently had problems like ctrl, back space and delete keys not working at all, cd drive not working and device not working error in device manager section under dvdcd section. Now suddenly this message started coming up on booting. Boot manager screen saying choose OS but i only have win7, esc to cancel, enter to choose but none of the keys are working. I think a fresh win7 install is the option but how can i get in to boot setup and boot from win7 usb? F8 don't work either on startup.

HP are notorious for keyboard problems.

You could try taking out the battery, press power button for 20 seconds, then replace battery.

Have you booted into HP Diagnostics via the ESC key at boot to test the hardware?

You can also remove the WIndows Boot Manager following Dual Boot - Delete a OS - Windows 7 Help Forums starting with Step 3.

Many HP's have a Minimal Recovery option when running HP System Recovery which is nearly as good as doing the superior Clean Reinstall Windows 7.

If not everything is included in the Reinstall tutorial in blue link. Read the Special Note for HP Owners at the end.

Is that the win7 bootmanager bootmenu? Windows 7 is the only option on the menu?

esc/enter and a few more keys don't work on many external usb keyboards?
So it's NOT a faulty keyboard problem?
