win7 pro 64 install trouble, endless loops

    Hi, a newbie here

I'm setting up a new system, ie new mobo and new ssd and am having trouble installing win7 pro 64 -oem disk. ASUS B85M-E mobo with bios version : 0810 and Samsung EVO 840 500gb

I either get into an endless loop of restarts after windows says it needs to restart to finish install, or at the first restart I get the window that says windows did not shut down properly - with regular or safe mode options etc.
I have tried many times to install, and, odly, I was able to get to the end and start windows but it was very unstable and would reset itsef constantly to the logon screen and/or then get back into an endless reset loop.
I have already looked at the threads that deal with how to do a clean instal as well as the thread that talks about uefi problems.
this last time I disabled Secure Boot(set to other OS), and in CSM selected it to boot from Legacy OPROM instead of UEFI device. that got rid of the UEFI dvd sysbol in the basic bios screen-success there. then at startup I did this:
    "DISKPART
    LIST DISK
SEL DIS 0 (after confirming Windows 7 target HD #)
    CLEAN
    CONVERT MBR
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY SIZE=102400 (for 100gb partition, adjust as desired)
    FORMAT FS=NTFS LABEL="WINDOWS 7"
    ACTIVE
    EXIT
    EXIT"
and got the 2 partitions. did the install and got the combo of endless restarts or windows did not shutdown properly screen again.
So I'm really stuck. Is there something new with this ASUS mobo and uefi that I'm not taking into account. Any help would be appreciated.
