Setup can't create system partition

If you want to install in UEFI, you have to create the EUFI usb installer, did you follow Greg`s tutorial and do that ?

The USB gets recognised in the BIOS and in the boot menu, but not as a UEFI device. Inside the BIOS there is no security tab, only Main, Ai Tweaker, Advanced, Monitor, Boot, Tool. I still cant find anything that matches your description

Then just set the bios to leagacy boot and disable UEFI to get windows installed.

What program did you use to burn the Windows 7 iso file to the usb stick ?

I recommend Wintobootic.

Where do i change those settings then ?
I created this one with rufus, but have the windows usb creator and yumi at disposal as well

You should not disable UEFI install until it is first attempted correctly, as it offers the latest features of the BIOS. We once needed to disable UEFI because of persistent install problems, but these no longer prevail if there is cooperation in troubleshooting them.

Look at every setting on every tab of the BIOS for UEFI, CSM, Legacy BIOS and Secure Boot. If this is an EFI BIOS then there should be one of those. If not then the most rudimentary UEFI firmware only offers the UEFI choice when you insert a UEFI capable DVD or flash stick, and it needs to be chosen to install to UEFI. So make sure your ISO confirms using the HASH check in Step 1 of Clean Reinstall Windows 7 then write another stick making sure the settings don't slip from those pictured in Step 1 of UEFI Bootable USB Flash Drive - Create in Windows when you add the ISO. Do you now see a UEFI Flash stick choice when triggering the one-time BIOS Boot menu?

If this fails try DVD install. Burn ISO to DVD using ImgBurn at 4x speed.

So far, i managed to find one hidden UEFI/legacy option in the BIOS. Upon going to SATA configuration, setting the onChip SATA type to RAID, a new option appears: Board SATA RAID ROM. On that option i can choose UEFI DRIVER, Legacy ROM or Disabled.
Also found in the USB Configuration, the option for legacy usb, enabled or disabled. As well as legacy usb 3.0 support. Will look around more

I asked for all available choices. I would not change AHCI to RAID for SATA controller except to test if you can boot disk as UEFI to do install. If so then that RAID choice may be a generic SATA selection and not exclusively for creating a hardware RAID array. However I haven never seen access to UEFI in such a way, though its possible and worth testing for install if no other UEFI choices exist.

The other USB choices are standard in every BIOS. Enable both.

Those are all the options i found. Ive changed my settings back, and enabled the USB options.

I have an idea, weve been trying to solve the problem in the BIOS, if i understand correctly, which is on the motherboard. I could try hooking the HDD i want windows 7 on into a different motherboard, and try there.

Confirm you're using a USB2 port.

If not try disabling USB3 in BIOS.

Can you get flash stick to show up as EFI with RAID setting and UEFI? When selected do other settings appear?
