| | Sony Vaio Upgrading kit to Windows 7 I bought a sony vaio vista with a free upgrade kit to windows 7. I upgraded to windows 7 and everything works fine. My question is i like to make a clean install of windows 7, tried to boot from windows 7 dvd but won't boot. What i'am doing worng? |

| | Welcome to Seven Forums. Go to BIOS and set your CD/DVD to boot first. Or you can try F2 when you restart and the first screen comes up, it should list the F-key to use on that screen somewhere for the boot menu, Sony should be F2. |

| | Many manufacturers also give you a shortcut to enter just the boot menu portion of your BIOS... usually F11 or F12. |

| | The Sony discs are intended to upgrade you from Vista to Windows 7, they are not designed for a clean install. If you want a clean install, you need to make a bootable DVD that has the appropriate x32 or x64 ISO image on the DVD.
