As I said a few posts back, I can NOT get into the BIOS. It will not boot into anything. I can't test anything or run any diagnostics b/c I cannot boot into anything, not Windows, not the BIOS, not even the boot menu to choose what device to boot from.

All it says is:
"Press ESC key to enter Startup Menu."

The installation media is the Windows 7 Ultimate ISO, modified so that it's now a multiversion ISO. I downloaded it from Digital River and "burned" it to a 32GB SanDisk Cruzer flashdrive. I've used this same flash drive for probably 4-6 clean installs in the past 6 months. Never had an issue with it.

Try another keyboard. But most failures to boot a disk or into BIOS setup are user failure.

The Memtest and HD Diagnostic CD's should autostart without having user input to run 6-8 passes and Extended HD test. If you can't look at the HD to know it's maker, then use Seatools CD.

If there is no other way to get into BIOS setup, then what I have done in this situation in the past is go ahead and Quick Wipe the hard drive using the HD diagnostics disk after testing resolves any errors or you decide to replace it. You can also use Partition Wizard CD which likewise will autostart.

This should force the Win7 installer to autostart install. For some reason BIOS setup will often then become accessible. It may have it's Secure Boot setting wrongly flipped which locks the BIOS access from any but Windows 8 or 10, so if it still is inaccessible after forcing reinstall by wiping the disk, you might need to install Windows 10 to enter BIOS setup from Settings>Recovery>Enter UEFI firmware to turn off Secure Boot. I notice in the latest BIOS update for this model Pavillion there is a UEFI firmware update, if we now have the correct model number here: HP Software and Driver Downloads for HP Printers, Laptops, Desktops and More | HP® Support You can check this yourself on the HP Support Downloads webpage for the HP Serial to be more exact. If this is a UEFI BIOS then there may be settings changes needed. Watch at boot for a choice for UEFI for the installation media.

If you did anything more than download an intact Win7 ISO from a safe source and then unlock all versions with ei.cfg tool, I would either confirm the ISO HASH before ei.cfg removal, or download another and confirm its HASH, burn or write another stick with Windows tool The installer could be buggy if you tried to make an All-In-One which can be problematic if done with any more than the ei.cfg. .More about this in Step 1 of Clean Reinstall Windows 7

The computer won't even boot SeaTools or Partition Wizard. I had a brand new disc for each and still wouldn't boot up. Stayed on same screen saying "Press ESC key for Startup Menu"

From it's port underneath try removing the hard drive to see if code on it is blocking DVD boot.

Then try booting flash stick Win7 installer written with Windows 7 USB-DVD Download Tool.

If it fails try removing the DVD drive to see if it is blocking stick boot. If not then plug back in the hard drive and try again.

How did you access the CMOS battery? Try removing it overnight.

I pulled the access cover off the back of the computer and gently wiggled the connector and CMOS battery out. Left it out for 30 seconds and put it back in. I'll leave it out overnight and see if that does anything.

How did you burn the Seatools and PW disks?

You said earlier you attached a cooling fan to this laptop. Exactly how and where?

Were there indications of overheating?

Is CPU fan running? What other signs of life are there exactly? LED lights? Which?

Disks were burned with ImgBurn, no changed settings.

Cooling fan was simply a usb connection.
No indications but I prefer to have cooling pads on laptops. Only thing my friend said, that I'm thinking now may be an issue, is that the, I'm assuming, CPU fan doesn't working anymore cause I never hear it and the computer does get really hot without the cooling pad.

As for signs of life, everything works as normal, just can't boot anything
