need to factory reset

Laptop is toshiba satellite L745 64bit Windows 7.
At start up pressing f12 goes to HDD recovery, but pressin Y don't work.
Regular startup shows up as image attached. Does it mean anything?
Also pressing f8 to go safe mode don't work.

On a Tosh it is the Zero key, not F12.

Pressing and holding 0 doesn't work too. I'm starting to think hard drive corrupted. Question- the image showing has no white light. Is that hard drive indicator?

Yeah, that looks like a disk symbol.

Boot into BIOS setup to see if HD is detected.

If not, then reseat it in its bay from underneath to see if you can get it to register in BIOS.

If so do a Clean Reinstall Windows 7.

If problems persist google the HD serial shown in BIOS to download and burn to CD the maker's HD Diagnostic to run a full scan from booted CD, followed by a Disk Check on a full disk partition you create in the steps to Troubleshoot Windows 7 Installation Failures - Windows 7 Help Forums.
