Can Windows 7 Home Premium OEM Key be used for computer with non-OEM?

I have a copy of windows Home Premium installed on my computer but I no longer have the key. I want to buy a new key so that I can input it onto my computer. If I buy a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium OEM, will the key for that work with my version of Home Premium?

    Yes it will.
Why do you need a new key. Your computer should have a sticker on it showing you the Microsoft key that was use for the install. Should look something like this.

Your key should work on the computer the sticker is applied to.

Actually I had installed it onto my Mac but the key belonged to another computer. So I wanted to properly install it with a valid key. I have the OS already installed but there is a 30 day trial period. So I was hoping that inputting a new OEM key would resolve this issue.

That COA key will only work on the computer it was originally installed on.

You will have to buy Windows 7 and that will come with a new COA key.

Be careful where you buy from. Their are a lot of counterfeits out in the world.
I buy all my operating system from a local store.

Was the key from factory-installed Win7 or was it a Full Version or Upgrade retail key? You said you moved it once and it activated. So why dont' you think you can move it again? You can move a retail key that's not OEM wherever you want.

If it's a retail key as described then you can locate the installed key using a keyfinder like Belarc Advisor.
