    Upgrading SSD

    I have just purchased a larger SSD as the current ( :/C) is running out of space. My question is this;

    If I copy the content of the current SSD to the new one and rename this new drive as :C then remove the old SSD will the system carry on with no problems or is this idea just too easy?

    Many thanks

    Yes and no. You can't just do a simple file copy and paste and be able to boot from it but you can either image the old drive and restore the image to the new drive or you can simply clone the old drive to the new one and, if necessary, expand the partition to fill the remaining unallocated space. You can do either one with Macrium Reflect Free (here is a good tutorial on how to use Macrium Reflect).
