Do you know which appdata folder they are stored in? Unhide and look.
Local and Roaming, respectively.
So you back them up manually or use Easy Transfer? What was your experience?

I have none. Haven't tried it. You think Easy Transfer wouldn't copy those files?

Jonathan:

I'm sure it's supposed to. And I'm sure imaging is supposed to always work too.

When I tried to use Easy Transfer a few months back, I was eventually asked to enter a key!!

That's enough for me. Adios to the app. If you have hundreds of peculiar settings I can see at least trying it, but it certainly didn't work for me.

Enter a key? For what?

Well look. I have used Easy Transfer in the past with no problems, and it saved me a lot of work. I have not used it enough to swear by it, so I will not press it farther. I just want to keep the tone of this discussion on a good note. IOW, let's be sure not to turn it into an argument.

Absolutely. I'm just giving my experience. If it had worked for me, I would probably use it. I tried it once and it failed.

By the way--I will confess to using CCleaner a bit.

Nice. Were you the one I had that discussion with a month or so ago?
