Quick Quick Question :D

ok. i have Windows 7 ultimate 64bit RC.

now if i buy Windows 7 ultimate 64bit will i have to format my drive in the process? or would i be able to keep everything i have installed?

I had RC Ultimate RC 32 bit installed .... I did a clean install using the RTM (DVD).
I backed up a lot of my files and folders to a CD, so I wouldn't have to spend too much time downloading them again.

Make a backup of all your important files, and do a clean install.

P.S Make a list of all the programs you have installed, so you can download them later if you dont have the installer on your computer.

awww i figured that would be the case.

also, can i buy the upgrade? if not i can just re install my XP and then upgrade correct?

You can't upgrade from XP to Windows 7. You will still need to do a 'Custom' install. See the video:
