There are no legal sites to download Windows 7 OEM iso files right now.

Not true, if you have a valid product key for Windows 7, you can get an ISO - Windows 8.1 media can be had without any product key at all:

Once again, that site only works with a Retail key, and no one has gotten that site to work for them yet.

He`s asking for an OEM iso file, so he probably only has a OEM COA key.

Works fine for me, but of course that doesn't mean it works for everyone. If it's OEM, the OP could simply contact the OEM for media and pay the processing fee if the system is licensed for Windows 7. If they've got an MSDN sub, the files are available there.

Saying there's no legal way to get an ISO is incorrect, I was merely pointing that out. Digital River downloads were pulled, but there are other options.

He asked where he could download an OEM iso file, there are no legal sites right now.

Of course there are other options, but I`m not gonna blurt that out here.

If he wanted a disc from the manufacturer then he would go there.

If he has a MSDN sub, then he would use that and wouldn`t be here asking for a download site for an OEM iso file.

You must have used a Retail Key to download your iso from the Microsoft site, oem keys do not work, you get a message telling you to contact the manufacturer for Recovery media.

I did not say there was no legal way, I said there were no legal sites right now to download an OEM iso file.

Also Looking for Windows 7 Home Premium x64

Similar to many in this forum and poster "thatbrothaspike"
I need a Windows 7 Home Premium x64 ISO or DVD

My friend brought his Son's HP desktop in for recovery.
It has Windows 7 Home Premium with the COA sticker
    attached but no install DVD.
The ONLY cure for this boy's computer problem is a clean
install to a new hard drive. The boy has down-syndrome
and had an unfortunate encounter with an online repair
outfit with a name similar to Speed Up Mx XX.
The computer still works, if you could call it that but speed up
it isn't. Screwed up and with a partition drive locked it is.
    Of course, No P.W..

This is not new to many of you, but I recall it "was" possible
to download various flavors of Windows 7 as an iso file from
Digital River but that is gone.
Your OEM key does not allow you to download from
MS. unless you present a valid retail key in the
    verification field.
I can only guess that manufacturers put the kibosh on
downloading in order to stop people from turfing all the
Pre-installed trial ware and whatever else.

It seems clear that a borrowed DVD would get it done as long
as the license key and mother board match up.

    Someone is/was selling a Windows 7 Home Premium x 64
OEM DVD on Kijiji saying the previous activation was
decommissioned. The person in question Was asking $80.00

As the one poster in this forum put it, It was so Simple

Finding safe installation media is discussed in Step 1 of. Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 Which compiles everything to get and keep a perfect install.

But many HPs have a Minimal Recovery choice that is nearly as good. What happens if you try to run HP Factory Recovery as offered in HP PCs - Performing an HP system recovery (Windows 7) | HP® Support
