Windows 7 Home .exe Software Download
I recently had to have my Western Digital Hard Drive (which was still under warranty by Western Digital) swapped out and replaced by WD. Because I was able to do so, I removed the hard drive, and sent it back to them, and they sent me a refurbished hard drive. Not thrilled about the refurbished part, but nothing I can do about it.
The hard drive crashed before I could make a backup copy of my Windows 7 OS. I have attempted to contact Sony, Microsoft and Western Digital, and nobody will provide me with an executable copy of the software to reinstall onto my new hard drive without paying over $100, and Microsoft even hangs up on me when I ask to speak with a supervisor. Microsoft does tell me that my license key is valid, however, but that the license key was partitioned to my old hard drive so I asked them to unpartition it so I can place it on the new hard drive that Western Digital sent to me. I think it should automatically do that when I reinstall the new hard drive automatically, shouldn't it? But I still need to obtain an executable disk somewhere of Windows 7.
Is anyone able to assist me with this? I DO own the license to this version of Windows, Microsoft has verified this, they just hang up on me when they realize I do not wish to spend another $150 at this time (I'm a Master's student and already pay obscene amounts of money for other softwares!) Thank you most kindly in advance for any advice or assistance anyone would provide and I apologize if I posted in the wrong area.
