It's not something that some user tweaked and released as a later version. It has been tested, re-furnished, checked and released to the public "off the record", like the 7000 was before it was announced an official beta.

Therefore, I'd go with 7022 as well, since after the beta, more releases will come out providing fixes, enhancements and improvemets based on the feedback of the previous versions. This build is one of them.

Now if you're not curious of what's new in every release, you could just sit back and enjoy the 7000 until August. As for me, I'm gonna test every single new release and enjoy the new features , even it's a 0001 subversion different.

I've never seen anything newer being worse than the older so far...only better.

edit: btw, the BETA keys provided by microsoft work with 7022 like they work with 7000.
edit2: As a reply to Scaramonga, indeed being on the same page would help, but W7 is still under construction....We do need to know what's coming next, since the latest and only the latest will remain. This is not a place for free support of a beta OS, it's a place of discussion of new features that are introduced to us, so we can learn how they work and how to use them better.
I totally agree and have been enjoying 7022 for two days+

Updates work fine (though some are not needed as they are already installed such as the mp3 bug patch).

Should I install Build 7077 or 7000?
So, I've been using Build 7000 but went back to Vista x64 because my surround sound didn't work. You think the 7077 build will fix that? It's the onboard 5.1 surround sound (asus board). Also, should I wait for the official RC or just suck it up and deal with the surround sound issue in 7000 or...

update from 7000 to 7022 automatic?
Its always a big mystery when it comes to MS and the build releases. With the latest leaked build, would we be able to update to build 7022 from 7000 with microsoft update? or would it require a fresh install?

I tried this as both an upgrade to Vista SP1 and from scratch with the same results. I install W7, everything goes well, and on the "final reboot" the system just hangs there with the new 3D Windows logo on the screen and goes no further. I tried to boot into safe mode, which kind of succeeded...

Three Days of Win7 (Build 7000)
I figured I'd give a run down of what I have been able to accomplish in the past 3 days of playing with this beta. For the record, I am not an IT person or "professional" beta tester. A bit of background. I installed the beta onto my company laptop. I have proven to my local IT person that I am...
