Windows 7: I have Windows 7 and Xp, and also want ubuntu. All on seperate hd's.

Thanks, that'll definitely be useful, I'll try when I get home. Just unplug the "sata" cable of the drive, right? I'll ask in advance What will I have to do to install Ubuntu to the XP drive while keeping Windows 7 and having no boot issues? It's slightly vague for me. I have easybcd installed.

Once again, unplug all other drives during install of Linux.

After install plug back in Windows 7 drive making sure it remains first hard drive to boot in bios. Then trigger Linux drive using one time boot menu key.

If you don't like that arrangement you can add Linux to a Windows boot menu using EasyBCD as in Where to install ubuntu in my system?

Yey, it boots with the xp 500 gb drive disconnected, that will make everything a lot easier. I'll follow your xp removal instructions tommorow :3
