    32-bit windows 7 unable to install 64-bit windows 7

so I got a pc that had windows 8. I use it for mainly gaming and I see windows 8 not to well for it so I downgraded it to windows 7 ultimate 64-bit. a while have past and I wanted to reset my pc(to clean out all the junk I already backup everything). so I did but I had to redownload windows 7, the problem was that I did not notice it was a 32-bit(I have 5 gb ram and it says 2.99(max 32-bit) gm ram) so I have no clue on how to I guesse force windows to launch and install it. I searched everywhere but I cant find it I know my ram is not broken if anything.oh and I allrady have the windows 7 usb boot installer ready its just everytime I try to launch it, it would say its not compatible with the version of windows.

    Welcome.

You must perform a clean install to go from 32 to 64 bit Windows 7. You must boot from the install media (USB , DVD, etc.) and not try to run it from within Windows 7 32 bit.

    See this tutorial.
