    Serious problem.

    Hi, I installed windows 7 a few weeks ago and it's been working fine. Today when I turned on my computer It keeps looping on startup repair. I've let it run it for QUITE some time and it just keeps looping. I have tried restoring to a previous point with no luck. What do you guys recommend I do? ( I do have the windows 7 disc with me if that helps ) I'd really like to get my PC back and running as I have several clients waiting for me. Thank you!

    good its a star

    boot into safe mode and run a system file check by typing
    search>cmd>right click and run as admin> SFC /sannow

    let us know the results

    If it repairs all reboot normally, if not boot from dvd and run a repair install from there.

    Alright, I tried booting into safe mode the first time but the Windows 7 DvD was inside. Now that I removed said DVD I cannot boot into safe mode, I get the startup repair thing. What about pressing f8 and selecting "Repair your computer" then selecting the "Command Prompt" would that work?

    When I try that and type SFC /sannow it gives me a bunch of options, which should I type? ( I tried SFC /scannow and it said "There is a system repair pending which requires reboot to complete. Restart windows and run sfc again." )

    No, I really don't. Is there a way to perhaps reinstall windows 7 without deleting all my files? Or perhaps an alternative way to export my files onto an external hard drive? Basically, any way to backup my stuff.
