windows 7 won't load past windows

    hi everyone
Im new to the forum, but have had a good read through lots of other threads prior to me registering.

I sem to have a problem with an ADVENT Laptop.
its a family members that they have had for 4/5 years i would say. they complained that it had become soo slow to the point it had become unusable.

i offered to clean install W7 so they could start a fresh as the laptop had become bogged down with pap to the point it was taking almost 5mins to boot up fully.
now ive done this hundreds of times on various systems in the past and thought it would be no different well now how wrong was i?!
well i have an pre activated ISO disc with all versions of W7 tried clean in stalling W7 Professional 64bit (previous was W7 Ultimate)

install went as normal until we get to the last "completing installation" stage when it froze for several hours not just going slow lol
so rebooted to continue or start again, only now all i get is a loop of getting to "windows activated setup is starting services" then reboots in a loop.

i keep getting the "windows error recovery page but no matter whether i choose safe mode etc the same happens.

could anybody help ive not been able to find an answer on the forum as i cant get a command bar to appear at all.

    thanks
    chris

As its an Advent, it should have Built in recovery, directly from the boot options F8.
If not see what the F10 or F11 choices are.

thanks for the speedy reply roy.
i thought the same thing regarding recovery.
but upon F8 'advanced boot options' im presnted with a list as follows:-

    safe mode
    safe mode with networking
    safe mode with command prompt
    enable boot logging
    enable low res video
    last known good config
    directory services restore mode
    debugging mode
disable automatic restart on system failure
    disable driver signature enforcement.

all of which i have tried and all the same end result .

upon pressing F10 i get a command screen as follows:-

    EDIT BOOT OPTIONS

edit windows boot options for: windows 7

    path: \windows\system32\winload.exe

    partition: 2
    hard disk: 76a70902

    [ /NOEXECUTE=OPTIN

i can type in the last commant line but entering anything makes no difference its just tries to start then loops again.

What exactly is a pre activated ISO disc and where did you get such a thing?

You attempt of Clean Install with this Pre Activated ISO disk probably wipe the recovery partition if their was one.

Do you have one of these on the bottom or in the battery compartment of the laptop. What Windows 7 does it indicate the laptop came with?

    Just a note:

I know exactly where I bought everyone of my Microsoft operating system starting and Windows 98 a long time ago.

Im positive I would remember a little sweet like this.

There is no legal copy of Windows 7 which is 'pre-activated' - and no legal copy of Windows 7 which will install all versions.
Therefor, your disk is by definition counterfeit.
