I had the same problem with the two graphics cards after my upgrade to Windows 7, I did the upgrade path as I hadn't managed to back up my system and wanted to get away from Vista lol...

Any way, after all the updates, software removal and then the upgrade I too was stuck with the lowly version. I have all updates required and wanted by windows 7 as well as the ATI CCC and that cannot change between graphic cards. I eventually managed to get it to work on the HD4570 card by playing around with the graphic properties in Windows 7. On my PC it should both cards as separate display monitors, and if I selected to use the 2nd one it created like a second display i.e no icons or windows (but no easy way back to the other screen). However after a few reboots and playing with the options I managed to get it working on the right card, though as above the reduced battery life is a compromise you have to live with until Windows and ATI get a driver that works correctly...

    My settings are as follows:

Display: 2. Mobile PC Display (1. Mobile PC Display is the 3200 version)
    Resolution: 1600 x 900 (recommended)
    Orientation: Landscape
Mulitple displays: Show Desktop only on 2

As I mentioned it took a few reboots, and didn't always take to the settings I was after but now it runs with a graphics rating of 4.1

Hope this might be of help to someone...

    Just a quickee

Hi folks, don`t know if you`ve solved the problem but my solution under post
    Stoo All Works Fine!!
takes you step by step thro setting up both cards to work as intended.

If you don`t feel like re-installing your whole system start from step 6.

Radeon Mobility HD 4570 Not working after win 7 upgrade

    Good luck, Stoo

PS if all goes well why not hit the scales on my post and add to my rep.
