New hard drive. Do I need a new Windows Licence?

Hey, I own a Toshiba laptop and recently the hard drive has failed and I can not boot from it at all. I tried to recover my data by using a SATA to USB cable however my data is unreadable. So I replaced the broken hard drive with an SSD. Now that windows is gone is there a way for me to get a Windows 7 ISO and use the same product key or do I need to buy a whole new windows licence.
    Cheers, Zac.

You can reuse the key that is on the COA sticker on the laptop. The hard part uis finding a clean Windows 7 ISO that matches the version you had. See here: How to Clean Reinstall a Factory OEM Windows 7

The first part discusses all the possible ways you can do this.

It wasn't hard for me to find an ISO that matches. I used an ISO that didn't have the same X code (ex. x17-5897) and it activated fine. Just make sure you get the right edition. If you have a Windows 7 Ultimate key, get an ultimate ISO.

Hey there, thanks for the reply Techy. I was just wondering where did you get your ISO file from?
    Thanks in advance, Zac.

    Always glad to help :)
I got the ISO from Getintopc.com
Go here and on the right, search "Windows 7" and find your edition.
This is not one of the Websites with a cracked version. The ISO is clean.
