Home Premium Key

Hi all,

I have ultimate 32 bit and 64 bit discs and have installed the 64 bit ultimate on my laptop. My wife is a student and is purchasing home premium 32 bit UPGRADE from digital river. i was wondering if she could install the 32bit ultimate FULL version and activate it using the home premium UPGRADE key. She already has a previous license for vista.

Basically i am wondering if the key is specific to the version of windows, or if the home premium UPGRADE key will also work for the ultimate FULL version. Thanks.

No, she would not be able to do that. Keys are specific to the version of Windows.

I will second what blackrose said....the keys are specific to the versions of Windows. Just use the Home Premium version...i'm always baffled why everybody seems to feel they "need" to have Ultimate.

I see no difference whatsoever now that I'm using Premium Upgrade on several of my previously-Ultimate machines.

Then there's this: UNAWAVE - Downgrade Ultimate to Home Premium or Professional
