OEM/SLP is a maybe but it's the best we have to offer. But if they have the Microsoft sticker that is readable on the Dell, HP, Acer, ect that should work because it's a Microsoft OEM COA key.

Microsoft is sure making it hard to keep up with what they will or will not accept.
Actually, I was saying the opposite Jack.

The OEM/SLP is the mass activation key, I don't see that ever being an option.

Any branded manufacturer, Dell, HP, Acer that has the sticker and readable key on it will get the message to go to them for support.

The ones that have just recently started working are system builder OEM keys like you buy from Newegg or Amazon.

An OEM COA will/should not work to downlaod the iso file.

@ sportsfan 7700, a system repair disc can be made on any Windows 7 PC, there is no reason to buy one, they are trying to rip people off.

The one they are selling claims to be able reinstall, to do that it must be installation media.Very different from a repair cd you can create from within windows.

Agreed, but.....

What is it then, does it come with a key ? Is it sold by Microsoft ? Who makes it ? Is it legal ?

Is someone selling a copy of Windows 7 and no key ? Good idea if you can get away with it I guess.

Right on the Windows 7 disc it clearly states " Do not lend or make illegal copies "

It's just an all in one installer somebody made and they are selling it.

They don't care about what it says on the disc.

I went to that site and was able to download a OEM version, but when I tried to download a retail key version it verified okay and when I went to check the language there was no English version very strange. I already have the disk already just wanted to try.
