Yes do the latter part. Restore your system.
Alright, I'm doing it now. Will I lose anything in the process?
If you have added any new software lately, it will be deleted. No data loss.
Great, a road block. It says that Windows cannot find a system image on this computer. Attach the backup hard disk or insert the final DVD from a backup set and click Retry. Alternatively, close this dialog for more options.
I pressed retry a few times but gave me the same result.
Seems we have lost it. Any senior member to help here??
Yes, please. Anyone. I've posted on like 3 other forums but no one would help. And I just felt like I was so close to fixing it too. I wish I never attempted to install XP for a dual boot up option... :\
Can you burn a Windows 7 image to a Disc and perform a startup repair?
That is a sure way to fix it (most of the time)
Is that not what Avast advised me to do? I think I already tried that and got stuck. What do you suggest?
Download and install this to the lappy then burn the ISO with it, it's free and I use it myself; after it's installed click the ISO file and the program will open.

Hi Bare Foot Kid. I've already done that, as Avast advised me.
