180 on ebay - WOW, rip-off imho.
I hope you get a legit license !
Can you buy from NewEgg in Australia ?
Newegg only has oem. I can get oem's here without a problem but I need a retail licence to download the iso.
I thought a "Retail" OEM license could download from the MS site, based on a recent change.
Now it's only "PC Manufactures" OEM license that can't download the ISO from MS.
Search for this, if i find threads about it i'll post back.
Maybe someone else here knows better !
You must have missed what I said.
My Windows 7 retail product key is at my holiday house about 5 hours from here and I don't have internet there so I need to download the iso here and take it with me so I can fix my laptop up there.
But as I don't have the key with me at rhis momement I cannot download the iso, if I could download the iso withour the product key (like digital river) I would not be here :)
EDIT: Now I missed what you said :) I don't wanna spend cash on a oem disk if its not gonna work.
No, i didn't miss that.
I just tried to help you from over spending un-needlessly.
Do what you must to get working.
Appreciate it :)
Just in a pickle, either trust eBay or trust oem
yea
Hmm another option to ask around on the forums if anyone can send me a download link. I was just reading that you can put a product code in and get the direct download link to the iso emailed.
Anyone got a retail serial they can put into microsoft recovery and send me the download link?
I don't see the product key just get a link to the iso, not even linked to the product key just need it to get past the firewall of the link :)
EDIT: Apologise if I broke any rules with that message :)
You can do a torrent download from here for some of the versions: [removed]
You need to install a torrent client. I looked at the ones suggested and didn't like any except for qTorrent which doesn't try to install a bunch of scamware. I used it to download Windows 7 Pro X86 and X64 and compared the md5 checksums with what they posted and they matched. Now I need to find somewhere to compare them against actual md5 checksum values from Microsoft Downloads or at least MS published.
Good luck.
Edit: Compared them with the MSDN Technet MD5 sums and they match so these are good, safe ISOs to use,
