Deleting One Os From dual boot windows seven 64 system HELP!!!

    hey yaull

Im currently running a dual boot system with both windows seven 64
and vista 32. both are installed on the same drive but under seperate partitions, i want to uninstall and format my vista partition while still keeping my windows seven install active. i tried just formatting the vista partition and keeping the seven but. when i tried this i got an error saying "windows cannot complete format" any one know how i can do this?? it would be much appreciated

    Thanks

I highly advise you to keep your Windows Vista partition. The Windows 7 beta expires, and when it does, you will be out of an operating system.

I would just resize your Vista partition and make your W7 partition larger, or just leave it alone.

Also, if anything goes wrong: you can always use your Vista partition to, sometimes, fix your W7 issues.

It's probably using the boot manager from your initial Vista partition, making it the active partition (that's what it did to my XP Pro partition when I installed Win7). I tend to agree with Jason, as the Beta expires 7/1, you will need something to fallback to on 7/2, unless by some miracle the official release is available by then or the beta expiration is extended.

Agree with the above posters: keep your Vista partition while Win7 is still beta.

Should you wish to remove it at a later date, the procedure should be the same as shown here:
