Windows 7: cant finish installing windows 7

can anyone help.. everytime i install windows 7 x64 i always got blue screen i dunno why it appears... it appears during the finalization of the installation.....here are the specs of my pc.....

Athlon64 X2 5000+
4x 2gig ddr2 ram
seagate 80 gig ATA
Asus M2A-VM board
Samsung DVDRW

Try taking out some of your RAM and attempt to do it again...many people have issues installing 7 with more than one or two sticks of RAM. It is a bizzare problem and not everyone knows exactly why it occurs

i have the same problem when i install windows vista x64 but when i install 32 bit version of windows vista and 7... there is no probelem but when i install x64 bit OS the problem occurs

Do a clean install rather than an upgrade. Do not put your key number when asked, do that after installation. When done, try it for a few days, before you give your number. You have 30 days

Are you upgrading 64 bit to a 64 bit. You cannot upgrade from a 32 to a 64

Maybe it thinks too hard about something so easy?

i tried it already using 2gig ram during installation it works but when i put back the other 3 2gig rams the blue screen appears again... it says............

Navigate to c:/windows/minidump, zip up the .dmp file and attach it to your next post for anaylsis..

We have seen several issues with Asus MOBOs.

This error code is usually due to the graphics card or memory.

Check Device Manager for any yellow triangles.
Let us know which device if you find one.

Have you installed the latest bios update?
Check the Asus website for a newer version.

Also check for an updated graphics card driver.

Any Over Clocking of the RAM, CPU or GPU?
Reset to defaults.

Run a memory test. I would definitely do this test, 4 - 5 times.
