How to replace HD in my 2009 Dell Insprion 1464 with an SSD

I can do the hardware installation just fine, it's the software I'm concerned about. (I am finding a couple of Dell CDs labeled Drivers & Utilities. I also come across an old CD I made and I wrote Repair Disc Windows 7 64 bit, but I don't know which of my computers it is associated with.)

Is there a way I can clone the old hard drive and transfer it all over? Any links to a procedure?

    Thanks.

Seems to be just what I'm looking for. Thanks.

BTW - I can't seem to find a Windows 7 activation code for this computer. Think that will be an issue?

If your computer came with Win7, there may be a COA sticker with the product code. On laptops it is on the bottom or in the battery compartment. On desktops it is in the back of the box.

But for a simple OS transfer, no reactivation should be required.
