Yea I don't know what's up with having 2 small m.2's verses 1 large one in either series :/
Seems all you accomplished was complicating matters ?

You are correct Mike, as always :)

Hahaha Yeah but in good REASON!!!!!!!! I want a Raid0 2x SSD thats why I bought it..I should have maybe just bought 1 and raid0 a bigger SSD, woulda been easier but hindsight is 20/20 and I probably would have ran into same problems? Who knows.

    :) :)

Well heres the update. I have now just 1 850 Evo SSD running my OS/Programs. It is now my main Drive C://. I cloned it from my 1TB Drive using Macrium, worked like a charm. I had to dissemble/delete my Raid0 Array. I did this to see if it would actually load/boot OS, if it did then I know its working properly and I have the right drivers for them. However while doing this pointed out some main problems to why my Raid0 Array didn't work/needs more work.

    1. Raid0 Array 2ssds 850 Evo's NEVER showed up in IRST (Intel Rapid Storage Tech) and alerted me (!) that there was a problem with it aka that it couldnt detect it.

    2. IRST Detects both my SSDS when NOT RAIDED as individual 238gig Drives.

    3. Single 850 Evo SSD Runs OS perfectly when I cloned it non-raided.

    4. I cloned my 1TB HD onto my RAID0 2xSSD -which failed to run windows OS, for my reasoning as to why it didnt work would be that my 1TB HD was ofc not RAID which I think makes a difference.

    5. When trying to Install OS on Raided 2x 850 Evo SSDS it could not find my OS on CD/USB/DRIVEs and prompted me to install drivers for it. Which makes me think IRST which is my drive controller for Intel products is not recognizing raid drives properly/technology is not on their IRST because I downloaded their latest controller which says it is RAID but I also posted a pic of my Controller which says AHCI so I'm a little confused if that covers everything AHCI and RAID? I don't know. But I need some more info if I'm going to RAID my SSDS again. I want IRST to recognize the raid, until then I think it would fail every time. Unless somehow I get these magical drivers it wants me to find on install which I have no clue to which driver I need to install, would it be the Drivers for a Raid driver or for something else i need on a USB or something I update in my own devices??? Prob some expert level stuff there.

Anyway for now I think I'll stay with this set-up 1TB HD for things I can keep on the back end like Anime or big files, Main SSD for my games/OS. But I now have an extra SSD so I can I guess just clone this SSD and keep it as a perfect backup SSD? Derp

Thanks for help, problem not solved but I would really like to know WHO has a 2x SSD 850 Evo RAID0 Config on my same specs.

Well, it has to be doable, as all these are sold with two 128 GB M.2`s in Raid 0. Along with the 1 TB hard drive.

Seems you just can`t do it with a clone ???? :)

I would stick with what you got until you can upgrade to a 950 Pro, put the OS on that and you`re set for a long time.

Glad you got it some what going or at least on a single m.2 anyway
Possibly macrium does not or can not write or restore to a raid from a hdd ?

Today's sata's are pretty fast already so i do not see any real reason to raid anything
Just buy larger ssd's for storage

I was thinking you may have bought 1 m.2 earlier than you bought the other ?
500gb m.2 is actually a little cheaper than buying 2-250's
Yep 180.us opposed to 1-250 at 100.us so you could of saved 20.us according to Newegg

Both 850's with Shipping and Handling to South Korea cost me $187 so I think I made out pretty well. But again I wanted to Raid cuz my system should be able to do it Np. I'm just missing a key something. Has to be a Driver or an IRST problem. or Both.

From what I've noticed most people raid large data drives to the os drives
I've yet to see anyone raid 2-250gb os drives :)
