Update KB2952664 said to be missing when it isn't

I have a Win 7 PC that I am trying to update to Win 10 but no icon is appearing in the taskbar for updating, presumably as Microsoft thinks I haven't done a prescribed update. I have already successfully migrated two Win 8s and one Win 7.

I have checked my installed updates on my main PC and find that not only is that required update, KB2952664, there once but it is there many times! I have noted some update duplication has been occurring for some time but a number of multiple 'successful' runs for this update is over the top. More than 100 entries!

Perhaps I should 'uninstall' all but one of these multiple entries.

I should add that the Win 7 PC involved is a Sony all-in-one and it definitely has a legitimate version of Win 7.

Anyone had this missing Win 10 icon problem and resolved it?

    Thanks.

I have just managed to bypass the icon method I have used with other Win 10 installations. I found what probably was an earlier MS installation site that didn't worry about possible 'problem' Win 7 updates. The only difference seems to be that I got my old screensaver and not the one that comes with the icon method.
