Downgrade From Win7 Issues

First of all, thank you for all your threads ( every now and then i had a problem, i took a peek inside the site, and in most of the cases found my problems fixed here).

Second...

A friend of mine brought a netbook to me a couple of months ago, running windows XP. He wanted to upgrade the machine, so i installed on it Windows 7 ( clean fresh install, not upgrade). everything worked fine, untill he ordered some automotive diagnosis cable, and the software came for Windows xp. Now, i know that it could work just fine in windows 7 too, but there are some files with an " how to"and there are for windows xp.

Anyway, from a to b, the point is... I have tried all possibilities of installing back a fresh copy of Windows Xp SP3, but could not finish it under no circumstance.

The machine i talk about is an Acer Aspire One 250, and inside bios i have AHCI/IDE option for hard drive. Even though i managed to get all SATA drivers for it, and incorporated them to the iso image using nLite software, then burning the image to a pen drive, i cannot pass the "Press enter to install".
Sometimes i get different errors like : no eula found, or , no windows nt was found.

I managed to take out the Hard drive, put it inside my laptop ( i thought i had a faulty copy of windows xp). But when i launched it from my laptop it went like a charm ( the installation). I put the hard drive back ( with win xp installed) into the Acer, but whenever i switch it on, it comes to Windows logo, then a bluescreen flashes for about half a second, and it keeps looping over and over..

I have tried with both AHCI and IDE options to run the installation, but no luck.

I have fully formatted the hard drive before the installation begin on my laptop, so that is already taken care of.

I cannot see what the error is on the bluescreen because it goes to fast.
Although i cannot run safe mode at all. it stucks at Mup.sys the restart to the point where i can choose between all safe modes and run windows ( wich goes to the blue screen again.)

Hope i managed to say everything, if you guys have more questions, i will answer them.
I really hope to fix this.
Thank you.

How did you create the flash (Pen) drive?

All the fixes I found for this problem say to change AHCI to IDE which you have already done.

I created using Rufus ( two different versions of it).
On my other laptop it works excellent so i dont think its a burning suftware issue..any other options?

You cannot install XP or any Windows OS onto one system and then transfer the disc to another device and expect it to operate - the OS has to be installed onto the system it is intended to run on - this is what is causing the BSOD - The OS does not have the correct drivers for the hardware You will probably need to use a USB DVD drive as it's likely that the old ACER netbook does not support USB boot.

You could try running sysprep on the drive before removing it from your machine to prepare it for the swap this should stop the BSOD when you put it in the other machine

I am not familiar with XPs sysprep tool so cant advise you much but google has plenty of help if you need it

I'm guessing that unit doesn't have an optical drive in it? Buy or borrow a USB optical drive, burn an XP CD, and install from the CD. I have never been able to install XP from a thumb drive. I've tried many times and it always ended in some weird error message, or just wouldn't boot from the thumb drive in the first place. It was a total exercise in frustration for me. Booting from a CD in a USB DVD drive worked fine though.
