OK, remembering my Vista

Assuming you can get to the Disk Management Screen Maximize this screen and scroll / adjust the panes to show as much information as is possible then press the PrintScreen Key on your Keyboard - this will create a copy of the screen in the clipboard - open MS Paint, Paste the clipboard into a New blank document save this document to your desktop or other folder, as a jpg if possible otherwise a PNG, or even BMP, and use the paperclip icon on the post editor here to upload the image

Pressing printscreen DOES do something, you just can't see what it is at the moment.

You need to follow through with Barman's instructions nonetheless.

3 partitions, totaling about 50 occupied.

I'm not sure what that small EISA partition is; it may or may not be needed to restore Windows. Probably not, since it's empty.

I'd probably make a single image file of all 3 partitions; it should need about 25 GB to store it.

Then you need to understand how to restore it if push came to shove---which means making a recovery disk from within Macrium, confirming that it will boot your PC, and then figuring out how to do the restore. If you aren't ready, willing, and able to do all of those steps, there's no point in moving forward with Macrium or any similar application.

Here's an alternative:

Remove the existing hard drive and put it in a closet, unaltered.

Buy another hard drive and install Win 7 on it. You could do that for less than 50 dollars in the US; don't know about the UK. You'd have a new and larger hard drive.

If you don't like Win 7 or for whatever reason can't get it installed, reinstall the old Vista drive from the closet.

You avoid having to learn Macrium and buying that flash drive.
