Cannot get in as Administrator; bad password? Win 7

I seem to be the only volunteer at our local Senior Center willing to take any responsibility for our computers which are for member use. I buy all the supplies and accessories, and wait to be reimbursed, etc. I found that members were downloading malware and other junk often hooked with "free download." So I went through the steps to set up an Administrator account, leaving the Guest free to connect to the Internet, etc., but not install apps.

This morning, I tried to do something that requires Administrator sign-in, and failed with a message about error in name or password. (I am now home, so I do not have the exact wording.) What are my options? I cannot think of any reason for my password to be invalid, as I chose the initials of the nonprofit corporation which is in effect the trustee entity for the building -- of which I am vice-president -- followed by the 7-digit phone number. Very easy for me to remember, and which has worked previously. A mystery!

Must I do something quite heroic to regain access to Administrator functionality, such as remove the BIOS battery? Or are there easier options?
