AddRAM , I get the words reboot and select proper boot device or select any key Press any key to boot from DVD . Everytime I press any key I just get another reboot and select proper boot device or select any key Press any key to boot from DVD on the screen and nothing else it wont start to install . I'm using a dvd to try to install windows 7 not a USB stick .My computer is a desktop .

So it's going in a loop. I don't know what that could be - maybe someone else will. Is the dvd seated in the drive properly? Sorry - that's a bit obvious and it probably is. Did you reset the bios first?

Evening all , I think i'v got the problem sorted . I decided to invest in another hard drive , even tho the 2 I have . have had windows installed before ,I put the new drive in the PC and tried different windows discs id burnt I got the same press any key !! stuff . Nothing worked , I then went to settings put the setting to USB as my booting device ( as I did before ) , I put the USB stick in the computer restarted and I got a new menu must be to do with the USB stick . I then removed the USB stick before starting the install , I then put the old Hard drive in that had been in before just to see if it would load on there . It did and its on now I have all my files and programmes to load yet , but windows seems ok . I have a double power lead ( I think that's what they're called its not the data cable ), it goes in both hard drives at once . I wonder if one of them is dodgy and it was stopping windows loading , ( Probly not tho ). Also I put both drives in and started it up 7 and 10 , and 7 loaded first I thought 10 being the latest model would have loaded first . I never tried to see if both drives were showing in my computer , what an idiot I am .

Mornin all , Windows 7 started first again this morning not that I mind its just I don't have any internet access on that drive . I started the computer last night and windows 10 started first . So I decided to transfer some folders and files from this drive to the 7 drive . All the files and folders what I had stored on the empty hard drive were as I had not installed windows 7 at all . No I had'nt been on the pop all day .I copied a small folder from my 10 drive to my 7 drive shut the pc down , and just started with the 7 drive connected . And it was installed and alright , the small folder hadn't copied over tho . So I connected the 10 drive and was able to transfer my files and programmes that way . But it definately was showing all the files and folders like it was before I installed 7 .
