How do I repair or do a clean install with no Windows 7 install disc?

I have the Windows 7 key for the netbook but I was not given an install disc when I bought it from the store.
I believe it originally had Windows 7 Premium home edition on it and I updated it to Windows 7 SP1 Premium Home Edition.

I am having many issues with the OS and wish to either do a repair or a clean install. I'd rather do a repair so as not to have to reinstall everything, but if a clean install is recommended I can do that instead.

How do I go about it, without an installation disc?

Hello and welcome Alicia now hopefully you have all your data backed up because what I am going to suggest will wipe it and reset the machine to as it came out of the factory because it will have a special recovery partition for just tis sort of situation..

    See this https://lionpress.wordpress.com/2008...tory-settings/

The alternative is to get an ISO for the version you have from somewhere and use the orih=gianl code to activate it.

Another thing you can do is read through this as it will describe how you can use any Windows DVD - a friends or family members one just read it thoroughly if that is what you want to do but make sure you read the bit about the ei.cfg removal tool Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

I'm afraid that many of the steps listed in the link are beyond my abilities. I do have a Windows 32 bit repair disc. Would that be of use?

Unfortunately my backups were lost in a fire along with my external backup drive. The new ones I made were done after my issues with the OS had started.

Here`s the link if you want to download a Home Premium Service Pack 1 32 bit iso file, you can then burn to dvd and have a Windows 7 install disc.

This link will last for 24 hours from time of posting.

I discovered in my reading that I have a recovery partition on my netbook to reset to factory issue. I am going to try that and will post back. I can't download the SP1 from the website. When I had tried, it wouldn't let me because my product key is for an OEM version.

And that is why I posted the link for you, you do not have to enter a key, I did the work for you.

Your recovery partition should work fine.
