Don't give up!!!
You fist have to have your LAN (or wireless) working.
My suggestion is to open Device Manager and find your cable LAN network adapter. If it's not working, go to Properties and on Details tab look for Manufacture and Hardware ID. On Hardware ID, copy (on paper or to a USB flash drive) the longest string and on another computer Google it. Find the appropriate drive, download it to a USB flash drive and try to install it on your laptop. Once you have access to the internet try to find the remaining drives by right click on the faulty ones and do a Update Driver Software.
Some of them you will have to go to Properties and on Details tab look for Manufacture and Hardware ID. On Hardware ID, copy the longest string and Google it. Find the appropriate drive, download to it and try to install it.
You can also try Windows Update to see if it finds the right drive, but normally it doesn't.
Thank you for the suggestion. Right now I am on our first night of "vacation". My friend's sister has passed away, so we're on the road for about a week. I have the laptop at a hotel right now, so I'll deal with it another time. I'll get back to you soon.

Edit: By the way, I already installed the LAN drivers before you came up with this good suggestion.

I already posted links for everything but the one at the bottom here,

The only wireless adapter listed is a USB adapter that does show a diver installed.

It would help if you posted an updated system info file after installing the drivers.

In your current situation, I understand that's not a priority, I'm sorry to hear about your loss, dealing with that is a priority.

Sorry, I meant to type I'm using a wireless USB in the laptop. The drivers from the HP site didn't work. Or I might not have tried all 3 & might have missed one.
