    Will this be OK?

A question from a novice if I may. Owing to a total lack of installation disks - I downloaded windows 7 64 Pro from the net (and obtained the motherboard drivers etc from another source.

This is now all up and running, but obviously needs a product key to activate etc.
If I get a windows 7 64 bit pro disk from ebay (many advertised) and use that key number from the purchased disk - will this save me having to go through installation once again. My limited knowledge says YES, but wanted to make sure.
If any one knows of a good/cheap legal windows 7 disk source - please let me know thanks guys, I await your comments etc.
    Thanks in advance

It is best NOT to BUY Online from unknown source.
Someone did bought one from eBay, and end up with a fake /illegal Windows 7 Product Key.

You still required to do the installation from the beginning.

Others may able to guide you to a better source, other than Microsoft.

    Edit:
    Re-read the post.
    No re-installation is required.
Do ensure it is the correct version.

    Hi Purgatory,

NO re-install will be required, as long as its the same version (home-home, pro-pro etc)
    All you need to do
Control panel >> System >> change product key.

    The bigger problem
GETTING a genuine key, not many around, if its less than £100 FORGET it.
You will need either a Retail or System builder key, (same key can be used for either 32/64 install).
There are only a few reputable sellers, try a local computer specialised builders company they might sell you one.

    Hi,
You don't show which region you live so it's tough to say where to get a good copy of win-7
This is about the only place I would trust
    Sold and shipped by Newegg

I am not sure on this.

It look like Amazon do have Window 7 available.

Anyone doubt this is genuine or not.
