An OEM key would not work at the Microsoft site any way, it`s for Retail or System Builder OEM keys.

You are confused, there is no difference between oem and whatever else it is you are talking about.

There is only a Windows 7 Pro x32 or x64

    or a Windows 7 Pro with Service Pack 1 x32 or x64

You should download Windows 7 Pro SP1 in whatever bit version you want, either 32 or 64.

    Here are some more sites.

This tutorial works fine too, but for some reason the site in the tutorial is now extinct. I linked a working site underneath.

If all you need a disc for is to run startup repair, then all you need to do is create a system repair disc (cd) on a machine running Windows 7 Pro

The disc has to be the same bit version as the system you`re trying to repair, and for some reason it has to be with Service Pack 1 or without Service Pack 1

For some reason, Windows is very finicky about that, I never understood why a system repair disc made on any Windows 7 machine won`t work on any other Windows 7 machine, but hey...........

yes, i am confused, that is why i posted here...
    i used https://www.heidoc.net/joomla/techno...-download-tool
and when i chose windows 7, it gave me a list of options of win 7 64 bit to chose from..., there was an option for win7 sp1 64 bit, and win7 sp1 64 OEM... i was wondering what the difference was

    Hi,
The oem if for H-P might self activate it hardly ever works :)
But using the other normal non oem will or should activate with the activation key on the case of the machine too so just get the normal non oem.
