reinstall windows 7 from image on disc ?

    Hello,

I have a windows 7 home premium computer,

I have run into some errors that are stopping me from running a system restore, (I will upload the error)

I have come off the phone to Microsoft this morning, they have told me they cannot with a recovery cd,
I have come off the phone to HP, they have told me they no longer support windows and would have to purchase a new unit,

Im trying to restore to factory settings, but, I don't have a recovery cd, can I create a recovery USB ?

Or, like in my title - is their a way of restoring the image that's saved on the C drive ?

    Many thanks

    Stuart

    Hi,
If you need installation media we can offer a iso download if you confirm your language and exact version you need
Then yes you can create a usb installation or somewhat recovery device
Although the best recovery device is a winpe recovery cd or flash drive made after creating a system image to a separate hard drive.

The recovery disk is under Service.
Which HP staff did you call; Sales, Technical, Service.
Do note that each dept staff only handle their own role &or function.
If there is Service center nearby to you where you can go.

I went to the Service center to get, or rather, make a duplicate copy of the recovery disk.
Hence, it is better for you to go yourself to make a copy of the recovery disk, from the Service center.

Most OEM computers can be restored to factory default by BIOS, no need to have the recovery disks as long as you didn't erased the factory recover partition. What is the brand and model of your computer?

The way to recover from BIOS must be on the computer manual. What is the brand and model of your computer?

When you first turn on the PC it should show you on the screen which key to push to start the recovery process.
