Win7 Pro 32bit Keeps on halting while expanding files.

    Hi,
I'm trying to install windows 7 on my friend's computer. It was running on win 7 but had a ransom virus Cryptowall. I formatted everything and started to install windows but each time it freezed on expanding files 0%. I've already tried following solutions.
    Changed hard disk.
Installed a hard disk with windows 7 installed.
    Changed VGA.
    Changed Sata cable
    Restored bios settings.
    Changed RAM.
    Changed installation disc
    Used external hard for installation.

I've also tried to install windows xp pro but even that freezes while installing files. In other words I can't install any operating system. The computer has a VIA VT8237A mother board and the bios is Phoenix P4M90-M7.

Anybody knows what to do? thanks in advance

    Give us ALL hardware information.
    Test your disk.
With the Win 7 installation disk, go to repair and launch command prompt. Type chkdsk c: /r. Be patient as it will take some time.

    Test your memory.
Run memory test How to Start Windows Memory Diagnostics from the Windows DVD - Windows 7 Tutorial

Edit.: Is your disk controller set EIDE or IDE?
If so, set it to SATA and AHCI (or RAID if you have a RAID array)

Bad install disc or bad dvd rom.

Create a brand new install dvd or install with a usb stick.

You made a lot of unnecessary changes.

Maybe it`s time for a new Motherboard ?
