Uninstall Win7 Signature Edition? What's that?

I just noticed something strange, hopefully someone can explain this to me.

I installed the Windows 7 Signature Edition from Launch Party Kit to one of my computers. Was just now doing some maintenance and noticed something strange.

    Check the image here:

    Uninstall Win7 Signature Edition? What's that?-w7siged_1.png

It shows Windows 7 on the programs list. Double clicking it, or choosing Uninstall / Change brings this up:

    Uninstall Win7 Signature Edition? What's that?-w7siged_2.png

The thing is, this was a clean install so what happens if I choose Yes? I am really tempted to try...

I have never seen the installed Windows OS listed among other installed software on the programs list. No big issue but once again something I would like to undestand.

Any deeper knowledge among geeks and gurus here?

Maybe that entry is for any logos/themes/walls/icons specific to the Signature Edition...

    I honestly don't have a clue Kari...

    Hi Kari.

I would assume that there were additional Signature graphics bits - and this would simply remove those

But there really is nothing special in this edition. No extra graphics, nothing. And to make it more strange, I installed it on November 5th (the date shown in the image as installation date for Live Essentials which I installed first after finishing Seven installation), not the 8th as it says .

I wonder if Windows Update installed something on that date just for your edition...

Grasping at straws here to explain this

But honestly guys, have you ever seen your OS listed here? I'm so tempted to try that, answer Yes and see what happens. Or maybe not...

Backup the system and go for it...I would do it myself but I wasn't fortunate enough to get a sig edition
