CD/DVD Driver Missing?
Here's the story, I'm building a multimedia server that is going to be running Windows 7 Ultimate as the OS. I have a full version of Windows 7 Ultimate and I created a bootable flash drive and loaded the ISO files on it.
This new system doesn't even have a CD/DVD drive installed on it which is why I'm using a flash drive to install it. Everything boots up fine from the beginning, asks me for the language and all the other stuff. When I click on INSTALL it then gives me a screen that says:
I have done a little bit of research and people suggest using the SATA drivers for the motherboard. I've tried that and still doesn't work. I have all the minimal stuff on the motherboard. Only one SATA HDD (500GB WD Green) 2GB of RAM, USB keyboard and mouse and that's it."A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now.
Note: If the Windows installation media is in the CD/DVD drive, you can safely remove it for his step."
The only thing I can think of is that Windows doesn't realize it's being installed from a flash drive. I tried hooking up a DVD ROM drive to see if that would help but still got the same error.
You guys are my last hope to get this working.
Please help!
