Question before installation

So I am about to clean install windows 7 because my current installation was a upgrade install, quick question, say I have a game like dragon age installed, Can I just copy the folder to another drive and then when I fully install windows 7 just drag it back into the program files folder or would I need to do a real install from disk?

Sorry you have to bite the bullet and do a reinstall. But, you are going to enjoy the new OS and its well worth the effort.
