    Hi and welcome

where did you get your image? how did you burn it? did the hash value of your image match the one on the MS site?

    thanks

Have you tried reburning the DVD again? The blank screen with the blinking cursor might mean that the media is unreadable :)

This about covers everything. Once you have made sure you have a good image. I just wanted to add that if, or when you reburn the ISO image to make sure you do it at the lowest speed possible. And also use quality DVD media discs.. Fabe

    Yes.

Get a new DVD and reburn using ImgBurn at 4x with Verify. It never fails.

Is your BIOS set to boot DVD drive first?

Where did you get the download?

Are you trying to use a rewritable disc to install from? If so, I don't believe that will work. You need a DVD-R or DVD+R....not a DVD-RW OR DVD+RW. I'm not talking about the drive...I'm talking about the physical disc you are trying to burn onto.

I do not know why you couldn't use a RW DVD as this is the first I've heard of that. I use RW's all the time to install. Others?
