Windows 7: Release Notes: Important Issues in This Beta Release of Windows 7

13 Apr 2009   #11

Honestly, I agree with Maka here - why in the world would you DL a 'black' edition? The current leaked builds don't expire for over a ***year*** ffs, and activation keys are easily obtainable to make it activated and working without having someone tap into your build when you least expect it....

This is a Beta OS - hacking it to make it 'activated' is plain stupid.

So, the advice is to get rid of it and get a non-hacked version of it.

xp pro and windows 7

Iam currently work on 2 Hp units! Presario f700--Pavillion dv9000!

the issues here are both the same/ microsoft iscsi initiator/ -The [storage]

heading in -[device mgr] is no longer there? Therefore , there is no listing,
for -[microsoft iscsi initiator] ! on either hp laptop unit. these are good operating machines w/ no know issues except as listed! Iam running Vista Premium on the front side ! and Windows 7 on the partioned side of each unit!
I have tryed the -[help issue] below this post and i've gotten nowhere w/ it.
-[ this 7 evaluation issue is 7100.] and up to now ,w/ other units , the setup has been perfect! Iam at a loss on these 2 issues so can someone HELP?

If you upgrade to this beta release, any favorite iSCSI target connections are not retained and the configuration information is lost, so that disks connected with the iSCSI initiator are no longer accessible.

To avoid this, note the configuration of your iSCSI-connected disks prior to upgrading to this beta release, and then add the connections back to the iSCSI initiator once the upgrade is complete. If you use advanced connections with Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol (CHAP) security, you should also note advanced setting information, including the CHAP secret.

If this has already occurred, reconnect to the iSCSI targets and mark them as favorite connections.
