I Have a Pavilion a6457c Desktop that I have been trying to put a copy of win 7 on that i bought from my school and I keep coming up with this error 0x80070570. Unfortunately I don't have a recovery disk or drive, (I wiped it when I first tried the upgrade, I know, stupid move on my part).. what can i do to get this thing working again, Please help, anybody !!

Seems that it might be caused by bad RAM. Make sure it is seated correctly and maybe try switching it around.

Did you download the ISO and burn it yourself, or get a MS DVD?

After reseating the memory and retrying, run Windows Memory Diagnostics for the full 2 passes.

If WMD memory errors, pull each stick to re-run test to isolate the bad RAM.

A fuller free bootable memtest 86 test is available to run overnight.

Just ask if you need help with any of this, including memory swaps.

    Hi and welcome

That error code according to MS is from burning the dvd too fast, it says

"What is recommended, is for you to burn at 1x or 2x speeds, and after the burn run a CRC check utility to prevent this from happening. There are many third party crc check ulitites that are available for download, search for them and find the one that you think will work best for you. This makes sure that what you have on the dvd is the same as the .iso file.

So take the original image and burn it at those speeds

    Hope this helps

Did you test it when you played with it? Memtest86

If it is a MS DVD then check the condition closely, whether it will boot and install NOW in another machine. It might just need cleaning.

In one recent case dude copied the DVD and the copy worked. It can be a laser abnormality.

How did you format the HD?
