I had this exact same problem on the General Manager's laptop.
I booted in via safe mode with networking and was able to log in to our domain with my admin account. I did a System Restore Point to about a week ago, rebooted and that let the C-A-D work. Unfortunately, I now had another issue, saying the trust was broken between the laptop and the domain. I then had to remove the computer from the domain and into a workgroup, reboot, log in with the local machine admin password, rejoin it to the domain, reboot and THEN I was able to log in correctly.
