Windows 7: Failed Updates

Not exactly sure where to post this, but this seems to be the most logical place for it.

If you ever get an update that fails to install correctly, simply select Try Again. I had this problem with an update for Vista X64 when I carried out my weekly update routine. It is possible that a corrupt update download can cause this, as the update downloaded again and was subsequently successfully installed.

I get this error every time windows update offers new a new video driver... although the update isn't corrupt, because the driver does not complete install until a reboot is required it automatically presumes that it has failed

I did report this back to M$ but im unsure if it has been fixed yet

In my case, the update was only partially installed (the green progress bar was almost 2/3 of the way across) before the indication that it had failed appeared. As mentioned above, clicking on Try Again downloaded the update again, after which installation was successful.

I've had one fail on me, even if I tried again it would not complete.

Has since vanished from the windows update, it was an obscure driver for a device I don't have... sound the alarms, my beta is broken!

I actually think it was for a device that windows had no clue of its design... I then pointed it in the direction of my motherboard drivers.
