If you look up BIOS update here it says latest is P33 from 2008: EVGA | Support | Download Drivers
Compare to the BIOS version given on your bootup screen or by Entering BIOS setup.
With Win7 it is best to start by trying AHCI Sata setting to get hot plugging and other features, but since XP is installed if you change it then XP will prob not run. So hopefully it is set on IDE which will work fine for both.
The 10/09 chipset drivers are 15.51 WHQL - installer should have them
