    W7 x64 7048 boot error(w/ solution)

I have tried three both the ISO version and the version without ISO..simply files and folders...tried burning three times at slowest speed and such..but all three get a "CDBOOT: Cannot find NTLDR" I have tried it both on this desktop and also my laptop, with same problem...it sounds like there is a NTLDR file that should be on disk..but why would it only seem to happen to me?

Well...Since Windows Vista, no ntldr file is used, and instead of it, the bootmgr file has taken its place...

My guess is that you're either booting to the wrong CD/DVD drive, or your BIOS has some unsupported settings.

The Windows 7 DVD contents should have only a setup.exe file, a bootmgr file, a readme.txt file perhaps and some folders, support, boot, efi, etc. If this is your DVD contents, then your BIOS has some wrong settings.

Try changing the boot order in your bios and/or resetting your BIOS to defaults.

To enter BIOS, in most cases you need to press DEL key or F2-F10 key at computer's first startup screen.

    Hope it helps

Hi yes you can do an upgrade from 64bit to 64bit. Why are you making an ISO in the first place.

So, the possible good news! I read on another forum that you can actually use an ISO from another version(such as x64 7000) and replace the files in it with 7048. So far its working fine..the thing i noticed in UltraISO is instead of saying Bootable DVD it said bootable UDF..lol..who knows why it didnt work the first time..was definitely the way i burned it..

Just a update but it worked! All i did was open the iso of the x64 7000 in ultra iso, deleted the files and inserted all the files from the 7048 iso then burned it..and it worked perfectly!
