I fixed this part of my problem following gregrocker's device. Go here and select your motherboard type. Unzip/extract the files onto an external hard drive or USB flash drive or a disc. The less files/folders on the disc, the easier it will be to find.

This worked for me in solving the first part of my problem.

Sorry, I didn't really elaborate on this. Insert your method of transferring the driver, browse for the file, choose the drive that has the drivers on it, select the driver, then next.

I can try! The only prompt I recieve is "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing"...etc. I'm not even sure what driver it wants.

I'll be back as soon as I get done testing this. If this doesn't work I'll go back to the vLite idea.

Once again, can't thank you enough for sticking with me here...hah.

Thanks for reminding me jradicle11 since it was your similar case that got the drivers in.

I was thinking it was this case, then you appear. Very cool.

How was the NVidia SATA driver marked, do you remember?

Looks like I need to borrow/buy a flash drive.
You can pick one up at Walmart for a tenner. Handy little trinkets to have around ...

Sorry, the driver you're looking for is the SATA ACHI controller I believe.

Yea, gregrocker, I'm just passing on your info to others now :).

You should be able to run the .exe and it will prompt you for a location to extract the files to. When it does that, set the location to the USB drive or whatever you're using to transfer. It should extract them there.

I'm not sure how I'm getting this wrong...So I run the installer, it asks me "Where would you like to save your files?" And I select D:\ (with my blank DVD+R in) and I get an error message with no message. Just a blank box with a red X and the title NVIDIA Windows XP nForce Drivers. What am I doing wrong?

Oh, my apologies. I was under the assumption that you were using a USB drive.
