Windows 7 Install (cannot find signal)

I was trying to install Windows 7 on a formatted PC, I got through the first part of the installation but just as it got to the last thing to install my monitor said 'cannot fnd a signal' then the PC restarted, I could see the boot up screen, it then goes to the windows 7 start up screen but straight after it my monitor goes black and shows 'cannot fnd a signal' again, so I can't finish the installation :S

I've tried starting up in safe mode but it just says the installation cannot be completed in safe mode and my PC restarts.

Are all the cables connected well?

You were watching the install on your monitor to that point, right?

If monitor loses signal, it sounds like a video card or tv tuner was loaded at that moment and has a different output which is not connected.

If you have onboard graphics, remove the card(s).

Problem solved

The problem was that my pc was connected to my television via the hdmi cable so i guess the computer was graphically confused. I then just had to boot from the installation cd and start the installation again. It worked for me!
